MUDr. Václav Poláček, CSc. graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine at Charles University in 1970. He began his medical practice and surgical specialty as an employee of the Nymburk District Hospital, where he worked until 1976. After a six-month stay at the outpatient surgery ward of the University Hospital he started working at the department of burn injuries of the Plastic Surgery Clinic of the University Hospital in Prague 10. He worked there as secondary physician, senior secondary physician and deputy head physician before 1990.
