Men undergo this procedure for several reasons, such as a religious one or due to health problems, an example of which could be phimosis.
In the case of phimosis, only the narrowed part of the foreskin is removed, so the most of the foreskin is left. Otherwise, the foreskin is completely removed by the surgery and the glans of the penis is completely exposed. We suture the edges of the wound with absorbable sutures.
The surgery is usually performed under general anaesthesia.
A preoperative internal examination is necessary. One day hospitalization is required after the procedure.
Surgery under local anaesthesia can be performed on an outpatient basis, without the need for hospitalization.
Home treatment shall take 1-2 weeks (depending on the type of employment).

What is Phimosis?
Some men can suffer from a condition called phimosis which is the narrowing of the foreskin that cannot be pulled over the glans of the penis. The cause of this narrowing is most often recurrent inflammation or repeated minor injuries of the foreskin.
